Opal A soft shimmer for creative rooms

Opal is silica that holds water within its structure, which gives it a soft, diffused iridescence. In crystal traditions it is linked to the heart and crown, and it is often kept by creative, reflective people. Here it comes as a hand-shaped 7 × 7 × 6 cm pyramid and an unpolished rough specimen for a studio or bedside.

The practice

Living with opal

  1. Give it soft light

Place it where gentle light can catch its shimmer, on a studio shelf, a bedside table or in a meditation corner.

  2. Sit with it quietly

Breathe slowly, six counts in and six out, while you read, draw or reflect beside it.

  3. Keep it cool and dry

Opal holds water in its structure, so keep it away from heat, long sun, water and salt. Wipe it with a soft, dry cloth.

Opal never shows quite the same face twice. It suits people whose best ideas arrive quietly.

Questions

Asked often

What is opal traditionally associated with?

In crystal traditions it is linked to the heart and crown, and often chosen for gentle creativity and emotional calm. We share this as tradition, not as a medical claim.

Can opal get wet?

Keep it dry. Water, salt and heat should all be avoided, and it is happiest out of long, direct sun.

Is the rough opal polished?

No. It is a natural rough specimen, left unpolished so its character shows.

Is it real opal?

Yes. Every piece is natural, lab tested and certified, and you can look up your certificate with your order number.
