The practice
Obsidian, with intention
-
Wear it for a purpose
Put the bracelet on for a demanding meeting or a hard day, and take it off when it is over. Obsidian is traditionally worn in short spells.
-
Look into it
Sit with the polished sphere for a few quiet minutes and let the dark surface hold your gaze.
-
Handle with care
Being glass, obsidian can chip at the edges. Keep it in its pouch, apart from harder stones.
Where most people begin
Black Obsidian Raw Stone
Raw volcanic obsidian for an entryway or a desk. A way to keep its weight nearby without wearing it all day.

Questions
Asked often
What is black obsidian traditionally associated with?
Protection, grounding and facing things honestly. It is considered one of the strongest stones in crystal traditions. We share this as tradition, not as a medical claim.
Can I wear black obsidian every day?
Many people prefer it for shorter, intentional wear rather than all day. For something gentler to wear daily, smoky quartz is a softer grounding stone.
Is obsidian a crystal?
Strictly, no. It is natural glass with no crystal structure, formed from lava that cooled very fast.
How is it different from black tourmaline?
Obsidian is smooth, glossy glass; tourmaline is a ridged crystal. Both are grounding, and they sit together on our Triple Protection Bracelet.
