Violet quiet for the thinking hours.
A 60 mm amethyst crystal ball, hand-polished to an even, violet translucence that draws the eye inward. Called jamunia in India, amethyst is the stone people most often choose for calm, study and meditation. Place it on a study desk, a reading table or the shelf beside your meditation cushion.

Care
Amethyst can pale in strong sun, so a few minutes of morning light is fine but a sunny windowsill is not. The sphere is weighty for its size: carry it in both hands and give it a padded, level spot where it cannot roll off. Wipe it with a soft dry cloth, and to refresh it the traditional way, rest it on a selenite plate overnight.
