Lapis lazuli is porous, so keep it away from water, oils, room sprays and perfume, and never hang it in a bathroom or kitchen. Dust it with a soft dry cloth, and choose a spot where no door can swing into it. To refresh it in the traditional way, rest it on a smooth selenite plate overnight.
