Meaning
Moonstone meaning
The floating blue-white glow of moonstone, called adularescence, comes from light scattered by fine, alternating sheets of two feldspars that separated as the crystal cooled; in India the stone is known as chandrakant. The canon’s feminine flow stone is soft, cyclical and receptive, the quiet counterpart to carnelian’s outward activation, and associated with emotional fluidity, intuition and a return to your own inner rhythms. It rests with the Sacral chakra and, more lightly, the Third Eye.
What does its ritual ask? Only soft breaths with the stone at the lower belly, and the words “I allow emotion to move.” Moonstone often finds its way to people who hold their feelings in, feel rigid or blocked, or want to soften back into intuition and sensuality. Steadiness comes first, though: when feelings already flood in or you are very easily overwhelmed, the canon builds stability before bringing moonstone in.
We share these associations as tradition, not as a promise of results.
