Meaning
Pink Tourmaline meaning
Pink tourmaline shares its mineral family with black tourmaline, its pale blush to deep rose coming from manganese, and it grows as long crystals ridged along their length. It is a Heart and Sacral stone in crystal tradition, associated with kindness towards yourself, the habit of giving yourself the patience you would offer a friend. It often finds its way to people after an emotionally draining stretch.
A bedroom, a quiet room or a meditation corner suits it best, according to our collection notes, somewhere close enough to notice as the day winds down. People coming out of a hard few months often keep it close, as a small nudge to go easy on themselves. Its relative black tourmaline plays a very different part in crystal tradition, one of grounding and boundaries, so choose between the two by what you need.

- Raw crystals show fine grooves running along their length, and the colour often looks deeper when you look down the length of a crystal than across it.
- Even colour is unusual in tourmaline, and a loupe often finds fine thread-like or liquid inclusions inside.
