Meaning
Lepidolite meaning
Lepidolite is a lilac to violet mica that grows in thin, glittering layers, and the Greek lepidos, scale, gave it its name, after those scaly flakes. It is linked in crystal tradition with the Heart, Third Eye and Crown, and is often worn for a calm that leaves the mind clear rather than dulled.
In our collection notes, lepidolite shares a single bracelet with amethyst and howlite and sits in the gentlest tier, suitable for every day. Many people keep it on as a small reminder to stop and take a breath when the day speeds up. Crystals like this accompany your own practice and any care you receive; they never replace either.
Not yet profiled in the KUSHA canon: these notes come from our collection notes and crystal tradition.

Pairings
What lepidolite sits well with
Kept apart from moldavite. The KUSHA canon never pairs moldavite with a Crown stone: together they can open too much at once.
Real or fake
Is my lepidolite real?
We sell lepidolite as natural, and your lab certificate comes with your order.
- Lepidolite sparkles: tilt it and tiny mica flakes catch the light, often with pink specks or white patches within the lilac.
- Dyed howlite or quartzite can stand in for it, but shows flat purple with no glitter and colour darkest in its fractures.
- Its own colour is usually a soft, greyish lilac rather than a vivid violet.
